LOVE IS A CONSUMING FIRE

Image
The same God who was refered to as LOVE in 1Jn 4:7 was also captured as a consuming FIRE in Heb 12:29. Therefore, if God is love and a consuming fire all at the same time, then it means that love too is a consuming fire, because love is God. Mathematical Analysis: God = Love (1Jn 4:7) God = Consuming fire (Heb 12:29) Therefore, Love + Consuming Fire = God LESSON : No matter how much the devil tries to stop you from loving your neighbours, love remains your greatest weapon to fight back. Most of us may not like this teaching, because we always prefer our neighbours and spouses to reciprocate the love that we show them, before we can trust them with our love. Hatred is the opposite of love and it originated from satan. It is indeed the aim of satan to make God's children to express hatred towards one another, which is against the new commandment Jesus gave us in  Matthew 22: 36-40.  From the scriptural and mathematical analysis shown above, it is now c...

AVOID THIS SPIRITUAL DANGER WHEN PURSUING KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Image
One of the basic requirements in developing a relationship with God is to acquire knowledge about God. As the old saying goes, you can’t love what you don’t know. However, when pursuing knowledge of God, there is a spiritual danger that can lead to our ruin, instead of salvation. Italian priest Fr. Lorenzo Scupoli explained this pitfall in his spiritual classic The Spiritual Combat, published in 1589. He wrote, “Be sober and humble even in the desire to understand heavenly things, wishing to know nothing but Christ crucified, His life, His death, and what He requires of thee.” Scupoli continues: By following these instructions you will avoid many dangers; for when the wily serpent sees the will of those who are aiming at the spiritual life to be strong and resolute, he attacks their understanding, that so he may master both the one and the other. The devil recognizes our desire for knowledge, which is a good desire, but then tries to pervert it. Instead of allowing us to p...

WHAT EVERY SINGLE LADY MUST KNOW: A MUST READ

Image
Ladies, you don’t need a perfect man, all you need is someone who you can trust  and show you that you’re the only one. However, If your legs open faster than the google homepage, then you are not a wife material. You need to know your place in a man’s life and stop auditioning the wife role when you are still his GIRLFRIEND. Not every man you get caught up with has genuine interests for you. Sad enough some ladies think they have what it takes to change a man’s heart, but unfortunately you might be wrong. It is not easy for a woman to change a man’s heart. A man will change because he really wants to change. If a man truly loves you, he isn't going to play BOYFRIEND forever and risk losing you. Stop wasting your efforts thinking you can convince him into loving and marrying you whilst reducing your standards. Your body should never be up for negotiation in attempting to be found by a man. Keep it sacred until after marriage. Respect yourself and your man will have no choice b...

THE SCRIPTURAL MEANING OF PRAYER

Image
Prayer is usually said to be a ' communication between a person or a group of persons and God'. But it might interest you to know that the meaning of prayer can be derived from the scriptures.  When I newly gave my life to Christ and was asked to give a talk on 'Praying Without Ceasing' during a Bible study programme, I embarked on a deep personal bible study and personally discovered a comprehensive definition of prayer. The Spirit of God opened my eyes and I discovered that the definition of prayer was hidden in some verses of the scriptures and also in our 'Lords prayer' as written in Matt 6: 9-13 . However, they needed to be put together to make a comprehensive definition. The revelational definition of prayer I was led by the Spirit to discover in the scriptures, is as stated below WHAT IS PRAYER? Prayer is a communication between a person (Matt 6:6) or group of persons and God (Matt 18:20), which involves making utterances to God with your mouth (M...

THE THREE OLD MEN AND MY EXPERIENCE

Image
A TRUE LIFE STORY EXPERIENCED BY BRO. ALIGWEKWE NNAMDI In a paticular church where i used to worship, there were three retired old men who always recieve special treatment, with particular reference to their sitting position in the church. Indeed they deserve such treatment because they are indeed very old, but at least can walk with their walking sticks. Their sitting positions were always arranged a day before sunday mass. Their looks shows that they may have been influencial poeple before their curent age. Just a guess anyways. It is obvious that these three old men must have seen or heard about the death of their age mates, as the clock ticks. One of the days the church mass was about to start, i was led to take a closer look at them and tried to put my self in their shoes, you know, like trying to be empathetic about their age. Shortly, I asked myself, supposing i was one of these three old men, will i be pleased with the way i lived my life when i was young? Then i asked myself...
