CORRECTIONAL MINISTRY

PURPOSE OF THE TOPIC: 1. To enable us understand the secret behind winning spiritual warfare. 2. To enable us understand the rules of engagement in spiritual warfare. WHAT IS SPIRITUAL WARFARE? Spiritual warfare is the concept of fighting against the works of evil forces, that have come to interfere in human affairs in various ways. They interfere in our effort to obey God's command, and these forces are forces from the kingdom of darkness with satan as the head. Futhermore, these evil forces are comprised of Lucifer and other angels who were thrown down to earth because of their rebellious act in heaven (Rev 12: 7-9). WHAT IS SCRIPTURAL KNOWLEDGE Scriptural knowledge is a knowledge extracted or gained from the scriptures, which is the word of God. IS LIFE A BATTLE? Yes, life is a battle, because there are scriptural evidence that proves that life indeed is a battle. The scriptural evidence are as follows; - In Rev 12:7-9 satan was thrown down with angels who rebelled against God. ...

It is important for all born again christians to know that they will be hated by the world and there are reasons why they will have this experience. One of the reason is their decision to give their lives to Jesus and follow his teachings. Another reasons why born again christians will be hated by the world was mentioned by Jesus in the book of  John 15:18 saying   “If the world hates you, just remember that it has hated me first"..... So this means that you are hated not because you are you, but because you are a follower of Jesus. So is all about Jesus and not you. Satan does not want the teachings of Jesus to prevail on earth, because he knows that His teachings are capable of redeeming man from sin.  Furthermore, in John 15:19 Jesus also gave us another reason why born again christians will be hated saying.... "If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own. But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the w...

Marriage is a holy institution established by God and is expected to be treated as such. Most cases of divorce in the world today, was as a result of unfaithfulness. Some married men and women may likely not make Heaven, looking at what Apostle Paul said in  Hebrews 13: 14 , ..... 14  "Marriage is to be  honoured by all , and husbands and wives must be  faithful  to each other. God will  judge  those who are  immoral  and those who commit  adultery." To intepret  Hebrew 13:14  for better understanding, we need to pay attention to some key words and phrase in this scriptural reference like, ' Honoured by all'.....  ' Faithfulness' 'Judge'....'Immoral' and ' Adultery'. HONOURED BY ALL: The phrase here  'Honoured by all' , implies that marriage should be honoured, not only by the couple involved, but by every other person outside the marriage, which may include family members, neighbours, friends etc. God e...

It is expected that we know our limits individually, in relation to earthly pleasure. Sometimes we think we have our limits under control, only to realize that we don't. Living our lives without  self-control , may lead us into a certain level of pleasure that might turn to be ungodly. For instance, drinking is not evil, because it is meant for man's pleasure. But when a man or woman drinks beyond his or her limit, drunkeness sets in and then it becomes a sin that can lead to more sinful activities. The bible warned how we will end up anytime we drink without limit. The book of  Proverbs 20:1 says ......"Drinking too much makes you loud and foolish. It's stupid to get drunk"......... However, Proverb 20:1, did not ban us from tasting alcoholic wine, rather we were asked not to go beyond our limit. Some churches preach abstinence from alchohol with the intention of helping their members to completely eliminate the chances of getting drunk, becoming loud and foolish...

Every evil agenda we intend to carry out, must have been conceived in our hearts and incubated for a while before we carry them out. This is why we say, 'out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh'. No matter how hard we try to hide evil agenda in our heart, it will someday hatch itself like an egg for everyone to see. So long as we keep incubating that evil agenda of ours in our heart, surely a day will come when the world will see the evil agenda we have been nursing in our hearts. The heart is like the womb of a woman. It must deliver what it conceived, except if aborted prematurely. It is very funny that we always want people to notice us as good, but as soon as we carry out that hidden evil agenda, it no longer correlate with how good we want people to see us. Similarly, when we promote ourselves as good, and then go ahead incubating evil agenda in our hearts. The heart will someday be under pressure to give birth to the evil agenda we concieved in our heart...

Any day we wake up and ready to go out for work, beware that the devil is out there on standby to lure and trap us into sinful activities (sometimes a particular sin) that will denied us of God's  blessings.  However, God has lots of packages for us out there, but we don't often get to have them, because we have been navigated away from these blessings, through the decietful ways of satan. In this context, God's package for us could be conception, improving our finances, winning contracts, securing shelter for our families, employment, salary increament, getting married, good health, being healed from sickness, promotion in our work places etc. But then the expectations that we hope for are not being met, because of our sinfulness or unrighteousness. Do not forget in a hurry, what the scriptures says in  Isaiah 59:1:2  ...." Don't think that the Lord is too weak to save you or too deaf to hear your call for help!  It is because of your sins that he doesn't hear...

This Topic is so important, so many married people are hoping to be single again so as to make the right choice. If you are single please don't just be in a hurry to get married, you have the best opportunity to prepare for it. For two people to come together to live in peace and harmony, they must agree SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY. Just like an elephant cannot marry an ant so also a believer cannot marry an unbeliever. If an elephant marries an ant how would they live, if a goat marries a fish where would they meet? You must look for a Godly man or a Godly woman to marry, nothing can beat this. The devil's primary target is the FAMILY. He knows that everyone belongs to a family and if he can make two wrong people meet then he has succeeded affecting the community and nations negatively. Ignore your age and the pressure for a moment, the pressure in a wrong marriage is far worse. God has somebody for you but you must set your priorities right. What do you need in a WOM...
