MESSAGE TO PREACHERS AND TEACHERS OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS.

Image
Beloved, whoever you were called to be, be it priest, pastor, evangelist, bishop etc, do not be annoyed when you preach the gospel and no one pays attention to you. It is very wrong to be angry or condemn people you preach to, simply because they didn't understand or show interest or even pay attention to the word God has annoited you to speak for the good of men and their salvation. You cannot be annoyed on God's behalf. God's anger is enough, yours doesn't count as a preacher or a teacher. The assignment is to speak the word and leave the rest to God, who is the rightful judge.  When Apostle Paul was writing to the Thessalonians (1 Thess 5:14) he wrote, ....."We urge you, our brothers and sisters, to warn the idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone". Beloved, the part of Paul's message that I wish to point out is the part where he said, "be patient with them ". Beloved, that no one listens to you when you preach

IS PERSECUTION PART OF OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE?

Image
In our journey in life as christians, we cannot rule out persecution. It has been part of our christian life and this is because from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence (Matt 11:12) This fact has led some christians into asking why Jesus is reffered to as saviour and yet his followers undergo all kinds of persecutions. This has casued many christians to deny their faith while many are still wondering why Jesus should allow his followers experience various kinds of persecution.  In the book of John 15: 20-21, Jesus reminded his followers why persecution will be part of their christan life. He quoted by saying; 20] Remember what I told you: ‘Slaves are not greater than their master.’ If people persecuted me, they will persecute you too; if they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours too.  21] But they will do all this to you because you are mine; for they do not know the one who sent me . The words of Jesus shows clearly that persecutio

RISE UP, MOURN NOT YOUR SINFUL PAST

Image
Beloved, if you have given your life to Jesus genuinely, satan will try to remind you of your sinful past. Do not forget that the scriptures referred satan as 'an accuser of brethren'. Beloved, rise up on your feet and fire yourself up with the word of God, which is like fire and hammer that breaks rocks in pieces ( Jeremiah 23 :29 ).  The author of  Psalm 51  realized that he was a sinner. He humbled himself before God and accepted that he has disappointed God. He did not keep mourning his sinful past, but went to express how sorry he was and how much right God has in judging him. He also reminded himself of how much God wanted back a humble and repentant heart by saying in  Psalms 51:17 ........" My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart. ...... Surely, this reassurance of who God is, must have gotten him back on his feet.  Yes sometimes is okay to cry with that deep feeling of regret, especially when we realize we have
