RISE UP, MOURN NOT YOUR SINFUL PAST

Beloved, if you have given your life to Jesus genuinely, satan will try to remind you of your sinful past. Do not forget that the scriptures referred satan as 'an accuser of brethren'.

Beloved, rise up on your feet and fire yourself up with the word of God, which is like fire and hammer that breaks rocks in pieces (Jeremiah 23 :29).

The author of Psalm 51 realized that he was a sinner. He humbled himself before God and accepted that he has disappointed God. He did not keep mourning his sinful past, but went to express how sorry he was and how much right God has in judging him. He also reminded himself of how much God wanted back a humble and repentant heart by saying in Psalms 51:17........"My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart....... Surely, this reassurance of who God is, must have gotten him back on his feet.
Yes sometimes is okay to cry with that deep feeling of regret, especially when we realize we have dissapointed God. But we can't continue to grieve for the rest of our lives. The devil loves to see you grieve over and over again and also forget that God loves to give a second chance and do not take pleasure in the death of a sinner.
Grieving over and over again can make us lose consciousness of God's mercy and the grace Jesus has secured for us.
How do you feel to know that God said to Moses in Exodus 34: 6 .....“I, the Lord, am a God who is full of compassion and pity, who is not easily angered and who shows great love and faithfulness.

Beloved, make use of the 'WILL' that God has given you and me, to rise up again. The saving grace of Jesus keeps creating opportunity for you to come back and remain in the light of God.
But do all you can not to stay close to anything that can make you fall again.
Remember scriptures adviced us to stay away from anything that will make us fall to sin. I'm not teaching you or encouraging you to continue in sin. It is true that God's grace is sufficient for us, but of course we shall not continue to sin that grace will abound, according to Apostle Paul in Romans 6: 1.

Rise up beloved, do not mourn your sinful past. I pray that you will take that step today, to come back home where you belong, the light of God.
