CORRUPTION AND GRACE

It is either we were brought up to be corrupt, or we willingly decided to learn to be corrupt or we were forced or threatened to join the train of corruption. However you may have joined the train of corruption, you can still get out of it before it's too late. This is to avoid ending up in hell.
The fact that God allows us to stay alive despite our involvement in corrupt practices, does not justify corrupt practices as part of life before men. The reason why we have been allowed to stay alive all these while is simply because someone secured for us, what we refer to as grace. And that person is Jesus. But it will be abusive if we continue in our corrupt practices because a certain grace has been secured through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Grace is like a movie ticket that allows us to see a movie for a specific period of time. After seeing that particular movie, we won't be allowed to use that same ticket again to see another movie.  Because the time allocated to it has expired. The same thing is applicable to grace. We can only enjoy it for a specific period of time, and that time is the life we are living now. When we die, we can't enjoy grace in the grave anymore. As we normally say, "there is no grace in the grave. As next will be judgement. Although we are expected to use the grace allocated to us pretty well, by being hungry to please God always here on earth before our exit.
As long as we are alive we live under grace. But it is indeed abusive to continue in corrupt practices simply because we know there is some kind of grace allowing us to stay alive.

Beloved, it is important to note that corruption in this context is not only stealing public fund. Any sinful practice is an element of corruption. Remember it takes a corrupt mind to sin. Rise up on your feet beloved, and make this life saving decision. Yes it is true that corruption has been institutionalized in our various places of work, even in the church and many are currently part of it. That many are part of corruption, cannot rule out how sad God feels about it.
Beloved, though corrupt practices may be happening around you, but do not be guilty of them. If you can't change your colleagues who are involved in corrupt practices, make sure you don't participate. But most importantly, cut off from such colleagues, to avoid them  putting pressure on you to join them.

May this teaching edify our bodies and create another opportunity for us to make up our minds to quit participating in corrupt practices, amen.
