YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY AGAIN

If you read the book of Leviticus 1: 3-4 (GNT) Moses said to the people of Israel, "If you are offering one of your cattle as a burnt offering, you must bring a bull without any defects. You must present it at the entrance of the Tent of the Lord's presence so that the Lord will accept you. You shall put your hand on its head, and it will be accepted as a sacrifice to take away your sins"

While I was studying this part of the scriptures, the Spirit of God led me to understand that, only a few people in today's society can afford buying a bull to offer sacrifice to God, for the purpose of having their sins forgiven by God. A big question came into my mind, asking, how would the sins of the poor in our generation today be forgiven, since they can't afford buying a bull to offer sacrifice to God, considering how expensive things are in the Nigerian market today? I was inspired by the spirit of God with an answer that reminded me that, Jesus has already paid the price for the sins of both the rich and the poor. So, the poor has nothing to worry about as our Lord Jesus has offered himself, to take the place of that bull (which the poor cannot afford) to be killed and offered as a sacrifice, for the forgiveness of sins.
Today, many less priviledged families cannot afford to feed three times daily. This simply means that if God should re-introduce the offering of Bull sacrifice, as a means by which our sins will be forgiven, the less priviledges families will not be able to afford to buy a Bull to offer sacrifice, for the sins of their family to be forgiven.
Can you imagine placing weekly or monthly order for Bulls, to offer sacrifice for the sins of your family to be forgiven? This indeed is expensive to afford, especially by the less priviledged in our society today.
In the old testament, the israelites used animal blood to activate God's forgiveness, while in the new testament, the blood of Jesus was used as a requirment for the forgiveness of sin (as those who plead his blood in repentance will be forgiven). This means that we dont have to pay again, as Jesus has offered himself in place of that bull, to be slaughtered once and for all for the forgiveness sins.

The question now is, what is your response to this financial burden that the Lord has taken away from you and has offered himself in place of that expensive bull that you cannot afford?
The Lord expect that we reciprocate by repenting from our sinful ways and leave in obidience to the will of the Father. Remember, anytime we sin, we crucify Jesus a second time.

If you were touched with this message, share with us how you feel and how much you appreciate this ultimate sacrifice paid by our Lord Jesus Christ.
